GitHubMCP — automated GitHub releases for your plugins
GitHubMCP lets an AI assistant (Claude, Cursor, any MCP client) publish your plugin release packages to GitHub through a secure, standards-based Model Context Protocol endpoint. Store a fine-grained GitHub token once in the admin panel; the server does the publishing — the token never leaves your site. OAuth 2.1 authentication, bearer tokens, and a strict per-site license, just like the rest of the InsationAI suite.
What it does
- Publish GitHub Releases and upload release assets server-side using a stored token.
- List and inspect releases and repositories.
- Point your update channel at a stable latest release URL.
Requires WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 8.2+.
